Zucchini, or also known as the summer squash, is treated as a vegetable in the culinary sense, but botanically is actually an immature fruit. In order to use zucchini for cooking the fruit should be picked up while it still has length under 20cm so the seeds are still soft and small.
Zucchini are almost always served cooked but can also be eaten raw in salads. They are very low in calories and contain folate, potassium and vitamin A. We believe everyone uses zucchini in their kitchen, however we decided to widen your knowledge of recipes including this amazing fruit.
